Refugee day

WALT: Experience like it is like to be a refugee.

On Monday the senior school went to the red zone for the morning, we went and did some activity's based on what it was like to be a refugee. Refugees are people who have lost their homes and are on the run. First we split up into our house groups, I was in pompallier. The first activity was when our teacher blew a whistle  and we had to hide. The second activity was when we played a game when we  had partners and one of us was blindfolded and the other person had to guide us through cones. The third activity was when we had to decipher things in Mandarin.  The forth activity was when we had to eat rice.  It was... not very filling. The fifth and final activity was shelter building.  It was a really fun day and I really enjoyed it.  Have you ever made a shelter before?

  1. Hi Scarlett, my name is Lottie, and I'm a Year 7 student at NBC.
I really liked your blog post because, you told me what you did, and giving out some details. I can remember doing it as well, my favourite was the bombing activity. I think you could have wrote how you ate the hot rice. In case someone who didn't come to the red zone wanted to know how you ate the rice. What was your favourite activity?
