WALT: use the figures of speech from the week
This week in writing we have been working on things like hyperboles, similes and alliteration. Today we had to write a story with all those things in it. My story was all about a cactus named Prickly who sits on a shelf in his humans house.
Here it is.
The life of A cactus
Hello my name is Prickly, I am a cactus. I live on a shelf in my servants house and I am as prickly as… well a cactus. All the other plants won't come near me because they are scared I will prick them. But believe it or not there are perks about being a cactus. For example, I can store lots of water in a short time so I don't have to ever say I am dying of thirst. I can also live for ages, my great granddad Spike lived till he was 300. But there are downsides to being a cactus, like if I am placed in the wrong place I can bring bad feng shui
(don´t ask what that is, I have no idea). I think I am a very crafty and clever cactus because I can figure out how to get a whole shelf to myself. I can not tell you how though, it is a secret. Being a cactus is sort of boring sometimes so I have realised that there is no point in writing a book, Bye.
What is your favourite plant?
